I got a new man in my life who is tall, dark, handsome, and respects me. date #2 was awesome, and tonight we’re going to grill together. the weather is finally beautiful for more than just a day at a time. this whole week is supposed to be sunny and in the eighties. I’m all done with school for the semester. I got my first official grade back today with an A in my photo class. I’m ninety-nine percent sure I’ll be on the dean’s list this semester, for the first time in my three-year college career. I’m finally getting my shit together. a customer at work today told me I was the nicest person that works there. my supervisor loves me and gave me off a day I wanted even though she had already scheduled me for it. I weighed myself for the first time in forever last week and I’ve lost like eight pounds without even trying. I’m going to be living with my best friend all summer in an awesome house. I turn 21 in just three weeks (!). and on friday we went out to the bars and I was planning on finally trying out my fake, but I didn’t even end up getting carded. 

and I have the entire rest of the day off today so I’m chilling on the deck in my shorts and listening to gorillaz all day.

I hate everyone who is saying Obama is lying about his new stance on same sex marriage in order to get more votes. unfortunately, there are still more people that oppose gay marriage rights than support it. so yes, he may be gaining some votes, but he’ll be losing more.

so I went on a date last weekend and it went pretty well. he bought me a rose and dinner (even though I complained) and opened the car door for me. and then we went to a house party afterwards with my roommate and her boyfriend and it turned into the most dramatic night of my life. his ex was there and she was giving me death stares and punched him in his man parts at one point and told me she gave him herpes (who the fuck says that about themselves). then she left and came back an hour later looking for me. I thought she was gonna try to beat my ass so I was about to be like bring it bitch, but instead she apologized, told me she didn’t really give him herpes, and hugged me before slapping me on the ass and walking away. crazy psychotic bipolar bitch. but it was hilarious bc if anything it just eased the tension for erik and I. now he knows what a psycho his ex is, and how I’m the opposite. and after all that, we went home and cuddled all night. unfortunately I had to work in the morning and leave his wonderfulness in my bed.

and now today it’s his birthday so I texted him and he told me I owe him dinner and a present so I’m going to take him out on friday. there’s this place in minneapolis which is my favorite and after the first time I went there it became my goal to have a date there. it is the most romantic place ever without being too fancy or expensive.
